Billing email goes to a person, weekdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT, and refunds do not need a reason.
Email billingIs Solo free for good?
Yes. One app, a weekly email and the reviews inbox, with no card and no time limit. About a third of the studios on Ascent have never paid us, and that is fine.
What counts as an app?
One listing on the App Store. An iPhone app and its Mac version are two apps if they have separate listings and one if they share a universal purchase.
What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
We ask for a card on day 12. If you do not add one, the account drops to Solo and keeps your first app, so nothing is lost and nothing is charged.
Can I move between monthly and yearly?
Any time, under Settings, then Billing. Moving to yearly credits what is left of the current month. Moving back takes effect at the next renewal.
Do you give refunds?
Within 30 days of any charge, no questions asked. Write to billing@ascent.example and the money is back on your card in about five business days.
Is the price tied to my revenue?
No. Ascent costs the same whether your app made $40 last month or $40,000. Students and apps under $1,000 a year get Indie for $6 a month.
